Opposing teams will box and 1 the Magic to death if they make this trade.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

5 starters that can shoot 3’s…if you’re profiling Franz and Paolo & Suggs as “bad shooters” based on their first playoff season in their lives, I think that’s defensive wishful thinking. Same with Ingram, who has historically shot well on higher volume.

Franz is a career 33% shooter from 3. Banchero is a career 32% shooter. Suggs is a career 33% shooter (although I agree after his recent season he may have turned a corner). Ingram is a career 36% shooter. Those are all pretty big sample sizes, so yeah, I think opposing teams will take their chances.

They are all threats from outside and very young. They'll get better with more spacing and more experience...

Trae .355
Donovan .366
Garland .384, but .371 this season
Strus .365, but .351 this season
...all ELITE snipers that nobody would leave open. The ORL starters above would all be legit threats to knock them down.
