Kobe is the only tough guy I see on that team. Turiaf probably too, but he doesn't play that much. Walton? Radman? Gasol? HA! All soft. Odom likes to pretend he's tough, but I can't ever tell you a game where I've seen him take big shots or make them. His version of tough is clubbing guys for hard fouls. That's not tough, that's just thuggish.
Simply put, I expect 75%+ of the time for the Celtics to beat the Lakers for hustle and energy points. LA is more gifted in terms of skill and athleticism (in most areas, not all), but the Celtics are tougher, have home court, and play far better as a TEAM.

Even if Kobe explodes for 35+ PPG in this series (far from impossible), they will still need either a phenomenal bench performance (like 35+ points from the bench) or have one of their other Big 3 go for 20+. Why? Because Boston is going to have no trouble putting up 95-100 points a night on these guys. Pierce and Garnett should put up 45-50 points a night combined, and unless Kobe wants to chase Allen around, when Ray gets hot he will pour in another 22+.
The Lakers will not be able to just outscore the Celtics, like everyone on the planet expects them to do. Thibodeau's defense and Garnett's stellar play simply won't allow a team to beat them for 100+ points consistently. And even if that DOES happen, nothing the Lakers do defensively will be enough to hamper the Celtics for long. They just don't have a great cohesive defense and only have 1 truly great defender (Kobe), and even that guy takes a good amount of time off on D, unlike our best defender, KG.

Twice on their court. We have proven we can take the West.....bring it on.........

No the point being that the fakers should have been able to take soemthing away from these PG's game. Either they score or they get assist.Your team couldn't, and it had to rely on out scoring the other team. In saying that Rondo has his easiest challenge of the playoffs yet. Fish and the other softy there from UCLA are the first line of (defense). After that it is the swiss cheese effect of Lamar and Pau. he is going to eat them alive. Oh yeah he gets to pass the ball to Pierce,Ray Allen and KG. You haven't faced a team this well rounded in the playoffs.

Pau Gasol is considered soft for a PF; even moreso now since he is playing C for the Lakers. Even Darko Milicic called him soft. Ouch!
Lamar Odom is probably their most physical player and he is a SF trapped in a PF's body. Like Donyell Marshall, he puzzles you with his ability to grab 10 boards a game yet play like he is a 6'3" tall. Definitely shys away from contact.
Ronny Turiaf is their only big off the bench. The world's greatest man- cheerleader is undersized and underskilled (as witnessed by his 35% shooting from the floor in the playoffs).
The Lakers have been giving up a 100 points per game and have a negative rebounding margin in the playoffs.
The Lakers are soft and we all know that soft doesn't win championships.
You know, that makes me even more confident !
Pure Celtic fans.
