If the league makes scheduling randomly and years in advance, how come we've played New England during the regular season for like 6 straight seasons? Can the league just acknowledge that they're all about the ratings. You don't see us playing the Jets or Bills for 6 straight seasons as former AFC East foes.

Yeah, you can bet the League wants to milk this rivalry as much as they can. We'll probably gonna be seeing Colts/Pats every year until Brady or Manning retire. I ain't complaining though. I'd rather watch us play the Pats over someone like the Jets anyday.

Man, we really got screwed in that Wk 8/9... MNF @ Tennessee, short week to prep for Pats in Sunday. I know it's in the evening, but couldn't we have gotten (no offense) the Texans the next week or something?

Well, to be Da Man, you gotta beat Da Man! We miss you, Ric!

A lot of the scheduling isn't random, and the league obviously acknowledges this. You play 2 games against each of your division rivals for a total of 6 games. You play every team in a division in the opposite conference, 4 more games for a total of 10. Then you play one game against each of the teams in your conference who finished in the same position you did...for example since we finished first and New England finished first we play them, then the other two teams that won their divisions in the AFC. The last 3 games are random games against teams in your conference, although we do seem to get Cincinnati and Baltimore enough that these games could be picked for ratings.
