The Packers will never do fun behind the scenes stuff like this, so we'll just have to enjoy other teams' content.

People can make fun of the source but Aaron refusing to do offseason work with the team or take team friendlier deals actively hurt the team in his later years. Turning around and doing those things as soon as he left has a lot of people rightfully bitter.

Yup, after Adams left it would have been great had he done work with the young receivers but he didn't do anything. After he was traded Love did just that and he's done that again this year.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yeah, and it clearly paid dividends by the end of the season for a young group.

I dont even care so much about the contract thing, player can get theirs, its just that he immediately did it for the Jets after taking the max possible deal for years with GB.

Kinda kills the "We never surrounded Rodgers with enough help on offense" narrative shouldn't it?

I mean it won't. But it should

Not suprising about SF being so much higher than everyone else in that ranking. Definitely supported by the eye test

Pretty sure this last season alone eviscerated any and all "Rodgers carried MLF and these bums" narratives. The McCarthy era was much more of a mixed bag.

I feel somewhat vindicated because I was pushing the notion that Rodgers had more help than ever before when he won his last two MVP awards, and it was the crux of my pro-trade argument after 2021 - along with the repeated pattern of playoff disappointments. He's had good OLs, WRs, and RBs before, but hasn't really had all of them being so good at the same time as he did in 2020 and 2021. The OL in particular didn't get enough credit in those years.

He used to absolutely carry the team and it was obvious why people like Brady called him the most talented player to ever play the position, which I agree with - pending a few more great years for Mahomes of course. However, the supporting staff and the play-calling (the dramatically increased reliance on short passing and yards after the catch stand out the most) are what really resurrected his career. I know his stats were great, but in his prime I think he had several better seasons in terms of individual, "eye test" greatness weighed against degree of difficulty.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

This report is starting to appear on a number of sources:

The Atlanta Falcons made the biggest splash of free agency this offseason when they signed former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins to a four-year, $180 million contract. Why did Cousins decide to leave Minnesota after six seasons? There were reportedly a couple of reasons.

For one, the Falcons were willing to guarantee more money for Cousins, but the Vikings' draft plan also reportedly played a part in Cousins looking for a new home. Per SI.com, the Vikings were up front with Cousins about the possibility of selecting a quarterback high in the draft -- even if he decided to remain in Minnesota. What's ironic is that Cousins' new team shocked the NFL world by taking quarterback Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8 overall.

Packers continue to live rent free in Bears players heads. You love to see it.

They've had a pretty incredible run of success, but KC really does love drafting these absolute scumbag type dudes.

Chiefs/Ravens to open up the season is an awesome matchup. One of the best we've had in a few years imo
