Packer nemesis Jimmy G is in concussion protocol but is expected to be cleared.

Hopefully Jaire is back.

This and the Denver game are winnable but also very losable for our team right now.

I wonder how much longer they plan on being without Elgton. Not going on IR was a good sign but I'm hoping we can get him back sooner rather than later.

Probably after the bye. That's another 3 weeks.

This isn't quite the MNF matchup that they anticipated.

Neither team was good last year. What exactly did they expect?

I don't think AOC had really a great showing yesterday but honestly I don't think it's much of a dropoff between him and Jimmy G. They might turn to AOC full-time at some point in the near future.

Elgton Jenkins is the glue to this offense right now. Obviously he's outstanding, but Royce Newman is so bad it just destroys the flow of things.

With Jenkins we can beat bad teams and hang with the good ones.

Without him, I still think we can beat bad teams but we will get killed by good ones.

Raiders and Broncos are BAD.

This feels like a temperature check game. Win (we should) and you're still sitting pretty great at 3-2 with the bye week to get healthy, then 3 winnable games (Broncos, Rams, Vikings) right after. Lose, and you probably have to reevaluate the expectations for this season (trading any picks for a midseason upgrade is off the table for me at that point). The Raiders are not a good football team, and this is probably the easiest road opponent we'll have for the remainder of the year (yes, including Carolina).

If he misses more than 4 games, shouldn't he have gone on IR?

He got hurt in game 2. IR would mean he would be out until at least the Vikings game. They're hoping to have him back for Denver. Of course it might not work out that way.

The FO forgot you should maybe be able to stop the run

^^^ I still think none of the FO leadership changes till Murphy retires, then it could be a general purge. The next Exec might be more hands-on

Jenkins back at practice. Honestly, I would definitely move Tom to LT. He's clearly a better T than Walker/Nijman and he's taken snaps at LT before. Let Walker/Nijman battle it out for RT.

What about Jenkins as LT? He has some contract bonus if he plays in that position, so maybe this is their long-term plan as they already might know that Bakh wouldn't last forever.

Can Walker or Nij play at G?

Jenkins - Nij/Walker - Myers - Runyan - Tom
