Just watched his highlights. Surprised nobody is talking about his jet sweeps and end arounds.

I think if he makes an impact next season that's a solid bet as to why.

The more I learned about the WR's in this class, the cleaner Watson seemed.
10.5" hands - and one of the few that can be a true #1 if he hits
Pickens is still on the board. The character concerns were real

Rob Demovsky - Christian Watson on what he'll tell Aaron Rodgers: "I'm ready to work, I'm ready to learn, and I'm ready to get after it. I know he's gonna be tough on me, and that's exactly what I want."

Be careful what you wish for young man :)

Probably, but I think his biggest use early in his career will be jet sweeps and bubble screens. He did it a lot in college and MLF LOVES those plays in his offense. Now he has the most talented player he’s ever had in that role.

Part of the high cost to move up likely wasn't just trading in the division, but also trying to find a team near the top of the second round who was willing to slide all of the way back to pick number 53.

Vikings better hope Watson and Jameson Williams don't reach their potential because they are part of the reason both players are in their division.

I would have demanded a late round pick back to make up for that difference....but I understand if you don't want to poke the bear

I was also thinking they could use him on plays like that along with WR screens on top of him being used on deep routes with his speed. He could be useful as a rookie even if it isn't in the role of a traditional WR.

I like the pick, not the trade.

Could've easily taken Watson at #28 and saved a 2nd, but I'm guessing Gute really loves Wyatt. Couldn't pass him up

Yeah, they considered Wyatt at 22....couldn't pass on him twice.

They got the guys they wanted instead of waiting (or trading down) and missing out.

I appreciate the greediness in a way. Get your difference makers even if it costs you draft units

I'm not upset at the order of operations here. #1 DT >>>>> #7 WR.

Anyone feel like Gute is more Ozzie Newsome-y than Ted Thompson-y in the draft? Anyway I like size-speed guys.

Or just running in a straight line so Sammy "The Widest Receiver" Watkins has room to roam.
