Game 59, Warriors at Raptors, 4:30 PM PST

Post#1 » by SinceGatlingWasARookie » Fri Mar 1, 2024 8:38 pm

Raptors are 5 and 5 in their last 10 games, they lost their last game.

Warrirs favored by 3.5 points.

Injuries and personal.
Wiggins out
Brandon Podz doubtful
Santos doubtful

Chris Boucher day to day.

OK Moody fans, Moody has to play.

Too not play Moody who payed well vs Knicks, Kuminga and Klay must take all the small forward minutes and Payton and Quinones and Curry with Chris Paul playing point must take all the off guard minutes.

Moody probably starts with Klay coming off the bench.

Celtics 17 Championships.
Lakers 17 Chamionships counting Mikan Minnesota Chamionships.
Warriors in 3rd place with 7 counting Paul Arizin Philidelphia championship. Thank you Paul Arizin for putting the Warriors ahead of the Bulls.

Was already going to be a late night having to get through Toronto customs, but sounds like a plane issue had the Dubs in the plane the entire night.

"They didn’t take off until nearly 5 a.m. Didn’t land until after 6 a.m. The team didn’t get to their hotel in Toronto until after 7 a.m. They face the Raptors tonight."

Very happy we got the win against the Knicks, because this game against the Raptors has all the signs of a scheduled loss.

If Podz is doubtful.. its either CP3 or Klay replacing him in the starting lineup. Whoever it is needs to have a good game because they are going to make our defense much worse

Ugh, that sounds terrible. A bus could have actually gotten them in before their plane took off. But they're 8-4 on the back end of B2Bs this year, so not bad.

Back to back concerns me but we are deep enough to play without Podz and Wiggins.
But we need Curry, Draymond and Kuminga to not be sluggish because of the back to back.
Moody should not be effected by the back to back because this is his opportunity and he should be feeling good about himself after playing well vs Knicks. Quinones might contribute. Quinones is good. Quinones and Payton need to replace Podz’s energizer bunny energy.

I kind of want cp3 even though they really overpowered us last time we played them. Klay is just so bad on defense. It's a hard watch

Other options are Trayce, or Looney with Moody at off guard. Watch them start Saric.
Or keep Mooody at small forward and Draymond at center and Kuminga at power forward as they were vs the Knicks and start one of Payton or Quinones which keeps Klay and Chris Paul together coming off the bench.

Betting line favors the Warriors and the betting line is usually pretty good. To favor the Warriors without Wiggins on a road back to back must mean the 5 and 5 in the last 10 games Raptors are not playing well lately. Betting line may not know that Podz is injured and may not know that Podz mattered.

Even if doubtfull Podz plays he might not be healthy enough to dive for loose balls and grab 8 rebounds.

My money is on CP3 as well. Podz wasnt brought into the starting lineup to be a shooter/scorer, he was there to be primarily a handler. Plus starting Klay again, at any time, is going the absolute wrong direction

I’d rather start Q than Klay right now.
This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

I’d go:

Steph, GP2, Moody, Kuminga, Dray

CP3, Lester, Klay, Saric, Trayce/Loon

Sure you could let Loon battle Jakob…. But I’d match dray on him, Kuminga on Scottie, moody on RJ, gp2 on IQ, Steph in Trent.

Rough defensive 2nd unit but enough firepower to win the bench minutes.

I'm guessing Steve will start Lester but finish with CP3, giving Lester minutes in the middle of the 4th to give CP3 rest. Also possible Steve starts Chris but sits him down for Lester early, giving Lester the middle of all the quarters.

I think Steve will commit to Klay off the bench role.

Would have liked to see a Steph, Moody, Kuminga, Draymond, TJD starting lineup.

Welcome to the Moses Moody sends Wiggins to the Bench Tour 2024!
