Thanks, SI, hopefully your cover curse can overcome their Evens voodoo.

I haven't followed much AL stuff, but here is my prediction:

The Cards win 90 games again and get further in the playoffs than the Cubs. I have my nice red-tinted shades on, and I am happy to be in the vast minority of predictors regarding the super-talented Cubs, who might break 100 wins.

The Mets will have the best starting ERA in baseball, but Cards will beat them in the playoffs (we have to, I bet my Mets pal on it.)

Cards are making the playoffs this year?

Tell me more.

I mean, it's not exactly a bold claim. They've made the playoffs five consecutive times. Three 90 game winning seasons in a row. Best pitching in baseball last year by almost a third of a run. I'd say my prediction that they advance past the Cubs is a long-shot, but I can't think anyone will really be surprised if they get one of the wild-card spots.

While I'm making claims that disagree with yours, I suppose I'll also throw it out there that I expect the Giants to do their weird even-year thing, and beat your Dodgers for regular season record. See you in October! Baseball's back! Whoo hooo!
