This team looks a whole lot better when you do not have Vogelbach, KK, and Biggio basically be free outs in the bottom of the order. Not sure why Davis Schneider and Clement cannot play more on a regular basis together like today, with Varsho in CF and IKF at Second Base. I guess it is too much common sense for the front office.

How will the nerds have jobs in the FO if we did common sense instead of Analytics?! Think of their families! They got families to feed!!!

Way to go Schneider! You have a quick hook for Berrios who's rolling but you would rather leave this useless fatty in there when he's had control problems and getting hit all afternoon long. Useless manager.

Anyone involved in the decision of starting Manoah today should be fired.

I don't give a ****. If you're the manager and you're seeing **** unfold on the field, grow a pair of balls and pull the guy no matter what the FO says.

That would be Ross Atkins.

If you want your manager to not be a FO puppet, you're following the wrong team

Schneider is equally complicit. He should be man enough to make his own decisions. This FO wouldn't be so empowered if there were certain people brave enough to push back.

He'd be fired just like Gibbons was if he ever did

Guess what? He will be fired regardless. This FO has shown time and time again to pass the blame. So why not go down fighting?

My guess would be that he hopes to get another managing job in baseball post-Blue Jays unlike Gibbons. Going against your FO isn't gonna help that happen

Hopefully after today's disaster of a start, this team has the guts to send Manoah completely down to the minors for the next few months. That means not letting him stay in Toronto, so he can laugh and joke in the dug out during every home game.

Let him be in the minors for the next few months, and then maybe call him up later in the year if he shows he can consistently pitch close to like he did in 2022.

No good manager will want to sign here if the guys at the top are deciding what happens on the field

According to Gibbons, this is the way it is everywhere in baseball in 2024
