They were gifted all 4 of those runs in the first inning on some truly unbelievable errors from the Nats and then as per usual couldnt do jack crap for the rest of the game. This win literally got Schneider of the hook for losing his job, which was almost a certainty had they been swept by the Nats.

They can still lose tomorrow!

Biggio is now 1 for his last 22. However, the 6 year love affair with scrub Biggio is never ending, as he hovers around with his .200 BA. Vogelbach is 3 for 23 (.107 BA for the year), and we seen what he brings to the table based on his 8 year MLB career. Not sure what Analytics Data tells this front office that sitting Davis Schneider in favour of Biggio or Vogelbach was the right course of action today.

I cant stand watching Biggio bat now.He takes these feeble swings like he has to look good getting hits, and loves looking at third strike calls.

Glad the Geeks got it right with the lineup for a change, with Biggio, KK, and Vogelbach on the bench. Need to see more of this lineup with Clement and Schneider both playing together, with Varsho in CF, and IKF at Second Base regardless of how this game ends with Manoah pitching.

Has anybody figured out what Manoah is doing in the majors yet? They had a guy on regular rest to start this game (Berrios).

Not sure if it would have made any difference at all, but the whole process behind this start made no sense.

They send him down to the minors on Friday to do his in between games work, and then finally decided on Saturday to start him.
The guy is already a bit of a head case -- why add all the uncertainty. Just make the decision Wednesday or Thursday if he is getting the start or not.

Not even getting into whether he should be called up or not (IMO he needed more consistency and should not have been called up).... but the process leading up to this start made no sense.

Nothing makes sense with this organization, when you see Manoah joking around and laughing in the dug out all year during every home game.

Lmao! Its unreal how the Nats defense are single handedly saving John Schneiders career right now. This should have been an easy Sweep for the Nats.

Kirk gets a great read on the flyball and still can't score from second.

Finally #4 for Vlad. (Now on pace for a meagre 19)

Although on a positive -- Small sample of 8 games, 8 game hit streak, 4XBH, with .367/.406/.567

For the season he's having, that home run trot from Vlad is so pretentious lol.

The guy got absolutely demolished at lower levels during his rehab, and yet they kept promoting him. One great start at Buffalo is not a green light to bring him up to the big club.

A headscratcher on Davis stealing 3rd with 2 outs.
But it worked.
