you brought it up, not me this time.

 watch Todd Linden make an all-star team next year or something. Of course it could be in AAA or Japan.

Of course if it was your season you would have traded him for Lowry and he would have done it for the Giants today.

Shea Hillenbrand? According to the wiretap we are looking at him. Thoughts? I don't know if we should go after him. -Jitpal

I would do that trade, but the Rangers probably wouldn't. Marquez is the only valuable trade piece there, and Eric Duncan and Austin Jackson aren't worth much at all.

TRADEWINDS: According to Gotham Baseball magazine's Web site, the Yankees are rumored to be interested in slugging 1B Carlos Pena and could make pitcher Sean Henn available, though not bay area product Tyler Clippard. If the Yankees can't get Pena they could pursue Ty Wigginton.

We had Pena in our minors last year and now we have to deal a young arm for him? :banghead: I wouldn't mind going after Ty Wiggington for the right price. The guy is a decent bat and can play pretty much every position. -Jitpal

I share in your frustration but not because of Sean Henn

Looks like the Cubs dealt Barrett to the Padres for their backup catcher and a scrub low A infielder. Maybe a deal for Josh Bard can be made for a backup to Posada? Since he is actually decent, he might be able to play twice a week instead of once. -Jitpal

It's not that. If you keep Henn he can be part of a deal to bring Teixiera or another bullpen arm over or something. Henn is relatively young and he has proven he can be a slightly above average left handed arm from the bullpen. He has the stuff to go a couple innings as well. Not saying he would be the centerpiece but an excellent complimentary piece to a deal. -Jitpal

Since when does "slugging" describe Carlos Pena?

Yeah, seriously.

The guy is going through a hot streak right now, he'll come crashing back to Earth soon like he does every year.

And honestly guys, theres a difference between performing averagely in Tampa, and performing averagely in New York. Travis Lee asks if you remember him.

Gagne and Otsuka? Gagne is going to be expensive and health is still an issue, I'd skip over him, especially because everyone else is going to spend forever trying to deal for him. Otsuka on the other hand, he will be a lot cheaper and doesn't have the health concerns. I'd deal for him. -Jitpal

Honestly I'd rather have Gagne....But thats just because I know he could handle it if hes healthy. Otsuka scares me for some reason.
