There’s no reason to send Chourio down. He needs at bats against MLB caliber pitching.

If there was a service time issue at play, then sure, let him work out his issues in AAA. But he’s signed for the next decade so let him get his cuts in Milwaukee.

It's a guessing game whether going back to AAA would help him or not, but I wouldn't say there's NO reason to do it even if you'd rather develop him in the majors. The obvious reason would be that he's getting further and further below replacement-level each week on a team that's leading their division.

But we're getting sidetracked because my original point was not about who should have been hitting in that situation, but just that they're both turd sandwiches right now and bitching about Perkins is just reaching for an excuse to complain about the manager when the story of the game was Freddy's ERA climbing over 4 as the "ace" of the team.

ETA: That said, I'm just assuming they'll combine for 3 runs and 5 RBIs tonight because this is baseball.
