No Giannis. No Middleton. This is a must win for this season, and again should really be a blowout.

I don't understand why Garland is on Jrue and I really don't understand why Garland is on Jrue without either Mobley or Allen on the floor.

Budinghizer displaying the same facial expressions as I had watching the Warriors game last night.

Aggressive Mobley is scary.

He was attacking the top DPOY candidate while playing great D on the other end.

I couldn't believe the Bucks continued to defend him with Lopez.

38 points is even more impressive with zero made 3s (0-2) and zero made FTs (0-1).

Nice to get the win after that miserable loss and what apparently turned out to be Andy Varejao night.

I just wonder if this is a one off for Evan ... maybe Brook was a little slow, Bud didn't adjust, or Evan was just feeling it; or if this is the start of Evan becoming more of a featured scorer.

Evan has scored 17 or more in 6 straight games. I think he's figuring out that he doesn't have to be an iso scorer from the perimeter or a jump shooter to put points on the board. He's got great touch from about 5 feet out, and we're working enough switches to get him against a smaller player where he can just get position down low and shoot over them.

The next step is other teams bringing faster help, and then we'll see if Evan can pass out to find a shooter and make them pay for the double-team. But then we need our shooters to shoot well.

I’d guess the one off. He’s been consciously working on things all season.

His shooting out to mid-range is now above 40%, that opens up the post for him and Allen to work in and has translated to improved efficiency on offense. The FGA themselves are hard to come by given Garland, Mitchell, Levert, and Allen splitting the post. That’s a good thing.

We’ve also seen him doing this on the defensive end. He’s staying home more and not selling out for blocks, but his hustle stats are holding (8th in contested shots, deflections and screen assists up slightly, charges drawn all up a bit), and his rebounding rate is climbing.

And we’re seeing the body fill out, his muscles define, etc. It’s nice to see he can beast mode, when the defense gives it to them. I don’t expect it. He’s on a development curve that I wouldn’t want to see short changed for cheap stats.

I just watched all his attempts .vs. Milwaukee via nba.com and my impression is the Cavs were successful scoring through Mobley when the Bucks used a smaller defender and/or when they kept Lopez distracted dealing with the ball handler. If Giannis was playing it may have been a different story?

However, with Dean and Ricky back and Kevin starting to hit 3's again the paint may very well start to open up nicely for Evan when Jarrett is sitting. Let's keep an eye on that.
