If Buzelis is available at 5, I'd trade Zach for #5 in a heartbeat. But I really like Buzelis.

They could patiently build this or do some major consolidation trades.

I think they already have cap space...?

If I'm their GM I keep at least one of those two picks, but realistically I'd probably keep both. Draft BPA and make smaller trades/signings.

Maybe offer Jalen Smith a contract? Maybe offer something for Caruso (Bulls pick back plus extra stuff...Bulls probably say no)?

Right now Tankathon has the Bulls taking Isaiah Collier. Dalton Knecht goes one pick later. I hope they don't pass on Knecht if he's there.

I could see them going with Topic and Knecht. Signing JV. Or maybe dangling Keldon and filler for Caruso and Vuc, and returning our pick.

I think that would be a good off season for them.

I mention Smith because of his age, but JV is good.

In a draft projected to be weak?

It went about the best the Spurs could hope for. Move up one spot and also keep the Raptors pick.

Now they can either use one pick and trade the other or keep both. Good options to build around Wembanyama. Raptors fans are probably disappointed.

Also, the Pistons are unlucky back-to-back drafts.

A well managed team like the Spurs will get better keeping their top 10 picks.

Knecht is better than McDermott and stepped up during the NCAA tournament.

Cody Williams has potential, but I wonder if he's too passive in a similar way that Patrick Williams is. Also, where would he rank if his brother wasn't doing well in the NBA?

I'm not saying they should trade them, but now they have the option of keeping one and trading the other if they decide to go down that road.

Yes the lottery was very good for them.

Trade Zach for the #5 or #6 pick. It's really that simple.

Zach must have more trading value than a #5 or #6 in a weak draft.

We need to get more for Zach than picks. Not even sure if trading him is the best way for improvement.

The problem is salary (who will Charlotte and/or the Pistons give back?) and team interest (do they want Zach?).

Also, selling your fans on Zach after a losing season isn't the best (in part because you'd be trading your lottery pick for him).

Buzelis is pretty tall which helps.

But he shot like crap and some of his talk rubs me the wrong way given how bad his team was this year. So bad they disbanded the program lol.

Return to Chicago Bulls
